90 percent of the people on this planet don’t see their basic human needs met and are left with daily struggles like water supply, food production, shelter, health, security, etc. Since a sustainable society either includes everyone or it is not sustainable, we desperately need solutions that help the poor in a sustainable way.

Just like all N:VISION Workshops, the foundation of this workshop is the idea of bringing Design and Sustainability together in their original sense and discover an inspiring and fruitful future for designers who seek to use their creative skills to make a change. The ongoing paradigm change towards an information society proves that we are doing the right thing at the right time.
Based on this foundation, this particular workshop deals with climate change. It will present the visible and measurable climate effects and the scientific state of the art. Along four consecutive lectures and the guidance and assitstence through an individual project, we will examine different factors forwarding climate change and ultimately come up with strategies, products, processes and services that either balance out current phenomenons or prevent future scenarios from happening.
